ORLANDO, Fla. – If you’ve been sweating it out lately, you’re not alone, and there’s more where that came from.
A strong ridge of high pressure is camped out over the Gulf, keeping things steamy and rain-free through most of the week.
TODAY:
Sunday will be another dry day with plenty of sunshine. With limited clouds, temperatures will soar again into the mid 90s inland and low 90s along the coast. Humidity values will remain higher than usual, making it feel more like 100 to 105 degrees through the afternoon.
While some places like Daytona Beach and Orlando may fall just shy of record highs, Sanford looks to have a decent shot at tying or breaking its daily record of 95 degrees.

EARLY WEEK:
High pressure remains locked in, keeping conditions hot and dry across Central Florida. Highs will hover close to records again in the mid to upper 90s inland, with feels-like temperatures in the triple digits. Coastal communities could see a little relief as the sea breeze develops each afternoon, keeping highs in the low to mid 90s.
LATE WEEK:
A weak cold front is expected to near the area by Thursday, bringing very little rain relief with a 20-30% chance of showers. A few rumbles of thunder aren’t out of the question, but most of us will stay dry.
WEEKEND:
By Friday and Saturday, high pressure builds back in behind the front with a stronger onshore breeze, helping to bring temperatures back to normal in the mid to upper 80s.
While we aren’t expecting a major cooldown, it will at least feel a bit more tolerable after the sizzling days we’ve had!
