A few more dry days in Florida before rain possible. Models disagree on how much, though

Orlando area could see a few inches of rain early next week

GFS RAIN OUTLOOK

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida will end the month of April on a comfortable but dry note as high pressure remains in control over the Atlantic.

Expect a steady breeze from the east on Wednesday, boosted in the afternoon by the sea breeze.

Skies will stay mostly sunny, with just a few clouds moving in off the ocean.

Highs reach the low 80s at the coast and mid- to upper 80s inland.

HIGHS WEDNESDAY

Conditions will remain relatively dry through the rest of the week, with a few coastal showers possible by Friday as highs climb to near 90 degrees inland and the mid-80s along the coast.

Wetter Weather

Models are becoming in better agreement of a weak front moving over the Sunshine State, bringing more moisture and higher chances for afternoon showers or isolated storms early next week (40-60%).

RAIN TREND

Where models disagree is with how much rain Central Florida could rack up through this period. GFS models show up to 2-3 inches of rain, but the EURO shows less than an inch.

With the addition of rain-cooled air, highs look to run slightly below normal starting early next week.
