BELLEVIEW, Fla. – A 45-year-old man was arrested Saturday on allegations of robbing a bank in Belleview.

The bank robbery happened June 2 at at Truist Bank at 5760 SE Hwy 484.

Belleview police said a man passed a note to a bank teller stating that he was armed with a gun and demanding money.

The teller complied, and the suspect fled the scene in a white SUV, according to police.

With the assistance of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and federal authorities, investigators said they were able to identify the suspect as 45-year-old Jordon Anchando.

An arrest warrant was obtained, and Anchando was located Saturday inside a home in the 5700 block of SE Robinson Road.

Anchando was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Belleview Police Department, where he declined to speak with investigators, according to police.

“I’m proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our officers during this investigation,” Belleview Police Chief Terry Holland said. “We’re also extremely grateful to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and our federal partners for their assistance.”

Anchando was booked into the Marion County Jail and remains in custody without bond.
