COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A student suffered a “medical emergency” at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School on Wednesday morning, prompting action by first responders, according to the police department.
In a release, police said that the school resource officer was notified by staff about the emergency around 11:11 a.m.

“The SRO, school personnel, and Cocoa Beach Fire Rescue responded,” the release reads. “Narcan was administered, and the student became responsive.”
The student was taken to a local hospital for treatment, though police announced they are now investigating the incident.
